A five-room Garden Route guesthouse on the lip of the kloof. Slow mornings, fynbos walks, and the kind of silence you forget exists.
About the house
Five rooms.
Two stoeps.
One very good cook.
Kloof & Klip is a working smallholding on the western edge of Wilderness, where the Outeniqua mountains drop into the sea. The original Cape Dutch farmhouse dates from 1898; we’ve added two cottages and a swimming pool, and not much else.
Breakfast is on the stoep when the weather lets us. Coffee is good. Children, dogs and slow risers are all welcome.

Where we are
A half hour east
of George Airport.
Heights Road runs along the ridge above Wilderness village. We are halfway down, on the south side. There is space for two cars and a turning circle.
