A few useful things.
Do I need to book a tasting?
For the classic tasting, no. Walk-ins are welcome any time the cellar door is open. For the reserve flight, cellar tour, harvest day or long lunch, yes, please book in advance.
How much does a tasting cost?
The classic tasting is R180 per person and is waived if you buy six bottles or more. The reserve flight, cellar tour and long lunch are priced per person. See the tastings page for current rates.
Can you ship wine to me?
Yes. We ship anywhere in South Africa within three working days. Free delivery on cases (6 bottles or more) to the Western Cape, flat-rate elsewhere. Unfortunately we cannot ship internationally without an importer.
Are children welcome?
Yes, children are welcome at the cellar door, the long lunch and most weddings. There is a small play area beyond the lawn. We ask that children stay out of the cellar itself for safety.
Can we bring our dog?
Well-behaved dogs are welcome on lead. Bessie, our farm dog, is generally friendly. The kitchen is dog-free for hygiene reasons but the stoep and gardens are not.
What payment do you accept?
Visa, Mastercard, EFT, cash, SnapScan and Zapper. For cases over R5 000 we prefer EFT.
Are you open on public holidays?
Yes, mostly. We are usually open on public holidays except Christmas Day and New Year's Day. Phone or check Instagram if in doubt.
Can we hire the farm for a private event?
Yes. We host six to ten weddings and around twenty private events a year. See the venue page for the spaces and capacities, then send us an enquiry with your date.
