How to find us.
Halfway up the Helshoogte Pass on the R310, between Stellenbosch and Franschhoek. Look for the avenue of oaks on the southern side of the road; the gate is at the end of it.

Getting here
From three directions.
From Cape Town (N1 east)
Take the N1 east for approximately 45 km. Take the R310 off-ramp toward Stellenbosch, through Stellenbosch village, then up the Helshoogte Pass. We are halfway up on the left, just past the second hairpin. Allow an hour from the city.
From Franschhoek (R310 west)
From Franschhoek village, take the R310 west toward Stellenbosch and up over the Helshoogte Pass. We are halfway down on the right as you descend. Fifteen minutes, one of the prettiest drives in the country.
From Paarl (R301 south)
From Paarl take the R301 south through the Drakenstein valley, then turn east on the R310 toward Franschhoek. We are 4 km along on the right. Twenty-five minutes from the centre of Paarl.

A few useful details.
Parking
Free, shaded parking for up to 40 cars in the lower paddock. Tour buses are welcome by arrangement; please give us a heads-up.
Accessibility
The tasting room, kitchen, oak avenue and stone cellar are all wheelchair accessible. The upper lawn is reached by a short gravel path with a 1:12 slope.
Children & pets
Children are welcome. There is a small play area beyond the lawn. Well-behaved dogs are welcome on lead. We have a farm dog of our own, Bessie, who is generally friendly.
Designated drivers
We strongly recommend a designated driver, or pre-booking a transfer. Local: Stellenbosch Wine Shuttle, +27 21 887 1234. We can also arrange one for you.
Card payments
We accept Visa, Mastercard, EFT and cash. SnapScan and Zapper also work at the cellar door.
Where to stay
Three guesthouses we recommend are within fifteen minutes: De Hoek Country House (3 km), the Lanzerac Estate in Stellenbosch (12 km) and a small inn in Pniel village (4 km).
