Tastings & tours.

Six ways to spend a few hours at the farm, from a quick walk-in tasting to a full Saturday picking grapes. Walk-ins are always welcome for the classic flight.

The Classic Tasting

R180 per person
45 minutes Up to 10 Walk-ins welcome

Our default tasting and the best place to start. We pour six wines from the current vintage (usually our MCC, two whites, the rosé and two reds) and tell you a little about each. No script, no spittoon snobbery, no pressure to buy a single bottle.

  • Six wines from the current vintage
  • Poured by one of the winemakers
  • Light olive-oil & ciabatta snack
  • Walk-ins welcome (groups of 4+ please book)

The Reserve Flight

R450 per person
90 minutes Up to 6 Bookings required

Our deeper tasting, for the curious. A vertical flight of three vintages of the Oupa Block Chenin, then a horizontal of our three reserve reds, paired with a small cheese and charcuterie board sourced from neighbouring farms. Held in the cellar, around the maturation barrels.

  • Vertical of Oupa Chenin (2020, 2021, 2022)
  • Three reserve reds
  • Cheese & charcuterie pairing
  • Held in the cellar (45 minutes seated, 45 walking)
  • Bookings required, 48 hours notice

Cellar & Vineyard Tour

R350 per person
2 hours Up to 12 Bookings required

Begin in the Oupa Block among the sixty-year-old bush vines. Walk down through the cellar, past the open-top fermenters and the maturation barrels, then finish with a tank-sample tasting of three wines still in barrel. Best done in the morning, when the cellar is busy.

  • Walk through the working vineyard
  • See the cellar, the press, the barrels
  • Tank-sample tasting (3 wines)
  • Glass of MCC to finish on the stoep
  • Morning sessions only (10:00 & 11:30)

Harvest Day

R1 250 per person
6 hours Up to 8 Bookings required

Six weeks of the year, the farm only does one thing: harvest. For one Saturday in February and one in March we open this up to a small group of guests (eight at most) who want to see what it actually looks like.

  • Pick alongside the team from 06:00
  • Whole-bunch press in the cellar
  • Long lunch under the oaks
  • Take home a bottle from the vintage you picked
  • February & March only · Saturdays

The Long Table Lunch

R650 per person
3 hours Up to 24 Bookings required

A set four-course menu, four matched wines, one long table under the oak avenue. Sourced from the vegetable garden, our neighbours and the sea twenty minutes away. The menu changes weekly with what is in season; we send it to you the week before.

  • Four courses, four matched wines
  • Local, seasonal, mostly from within 50 km
  • Set menu (dietary requirements accommodated)
  • Wednesdays – Sundays, 12:30 seating
  • Bookings required, 7 days notice
