Kudu is for guests who want canvas between themselves and the bush. A walk-in safari tent under a thatch roof, raised on a timber deck in the riverine thicket where the birding is best and the nightjars call after dark.

Inside it is far from rustic: a king bed, an en-suite bathroom plumbed with hot water and a private deck with two chairs angled at the trees. Zip the canvas open in the morning and the bush is right there.
