Five cottages

For the rest of the party.

Five cottages spread across the estate, all within a short walk of the homestead. Each has its own character: the oldest from the original farm map, the newest built in 2019 right above the dam.

Cottage 1 · The Old Dairy

Restored dairy, 2018

Cottage 1 · The Old Dairy

The old dairy, converted into a two-bedroom cottage with high ceilings and a private courtyard. Original stone walls, a wood-burning stove for winter, French doors onto the garden.

Sleeps 4 2 en-suite
Cottage 2 · The Stoep Cottage

Original labourer's cottage

Cottage 2 · The Stoep Cottage

One of two surviving labourer's cottages on the original farm map. Restored as a two-bedroom guest cottage with the long stoep that gave it its name. Cooler in summer than the main house.

Sleeps 4 1 family
Cottage 3 · The Garden Cottage

Built 2014

Cottage 3 · The Garden Cottage

A standalone one-bedroom cottage at the bottom of the rose garden. Built in 2014 in the same vernacular as the original outbuildings. Best for couples who want a little more privacy.

Sleeps 2 1 en-suite
Cottage 4 · The Vineyard Cottage

Built 2014

Cottage 4 · The Vineyard Cottage

Identical layout to the Garden Cottage but on the eastern slope, looking over the vineyards. Two bedrooms, a small kitchen, a deck for sundowners. A short walk from the chapel.

Sleeps 4 2 en-suite
Cottage 5 · The Dam Cottage

Built 2019

Cottage 5 · The Dam Cottage

The newest of the five cottages, built right above the dam in 2019. Tall windows on the water side, a private wooden deck, an outdoor shower. The water-bird soundtrack is something else.
