Lerato & Koos

Lerato grew up on a farm outside Lichtenburg; Koos grew up in Sea Point. They met at a wedding three years earlier. They wanted somewhere that felt like neither of their childhood places but reminded them of both.

The ceremony was at five on a perfect October afternoon. We have rarely seen a more beautiful aisle walk. Lerato's eight nieces and nephews scattered fynbos petals all the way down.

Dinner was in the werf hall. The band, a brilliant nine-piece from Cape Town, played until just past midnight. The last guests left on the Sunday afternoon, two days after they arrived, with their hire cars piled with pastries.
