Krans Brut Cap Classique
Vintage 2021
Méthode Cap Classique, 36 months on the lees.
Krans Brut is our flagship Cap Classique, made the way it has been made in Reims since the early eighteenth century: hand-picked at first light, whole-bunch pressed at gentle pressure, then bottle-fermented and aged on the lees for thirty-six months before disgorgement.
A blend of Chardonnay for structure and Pinot Noir for fruit. Dry, mineral, with the bready autolytic character that only time on the lees can give. Made in small batches; we bottle around three thousand each year.
Tasting notes
Lemon zest and brioche on the nose. Crisp green-apple and stone-fruit on the palate, with a long, chalky finish.
